01What it is
According to the operator, the line is 3320 metres long, a cabin holds up to 12 people and the ride takes 8–10 minutes depending on the wind. The mainland station is on Trần Phú street four to five kilometres south of the centre, next to the port. From above you see the curve of the city beach, the port, fishing boats and the bay islands. The towers in the strait are clearly visible from the seafront — one of the city's visual landmarks.
02How to plan your visit
Few people make the trip just for the cable car: it is included in the VinWonders ticket and serves as the main entrance to the island, and in the evening guests of the Vinpearl Harbour waterfront use it. From the centre you get to the station by taxi or city bus. If you want the views without queues, ride over straight after opening and back after the evening show, when the bay is lit up. On the way over, sit facing the city.
03What to check
Official materials give different hours: 8:00–22:00 in a 2024 article, 8:30–22:30 in a November 2025 article, 8:30–23:00 on the provincial tourism centre's page. Trust only the schedule on vinwonders.com on the day of your trip. In bad weather the line is stopped and passengers go by boat.
Before you goIf you are afraid of heights, sit in the middle of the cabin and look at the horizon rather than down: the highest section runs over the strait.
