01What it is
Co.opmart is the supermarket chain of the Saigon Co.op union of co-operatives, aimed at local shoppers. The chain's official website gives the Nha Trang store's address as 02 Lê Hồng Phong, Nam Nha Trang ward. Lê Hồng Phong is a long road parallel to the coast, lined with residential blocks where people rent flats long-term. The range covers groceries, fruit, ready meals, household goods and clothing, with an emphasis on Vietnamese producers and clear fixed prices.
02How to plan your visit
For a one-week tourist this shop is not essential. For someone living in the south of the city it covers everyday needs without a trip to the western outskirts: large bottles of water, rice, vegetables, cleaning products. It is handy to stop by on the way back from the beach or before a trip towards the airport: Lê Hồng Phong street leads to the southern exit from the city. Plan your shopping for the morning or early evening, when the store is quieter and the shelves freshly stocked.
03What to check
We did not find opening hours on the store's page on the chain's website — ask by phoning the store or on site. There are few familiar imported products; for those, the larger hypermarkets are a safer bet. Motorbike parking is paid; keep the ticket.
Before you goBuy drinking water in large bottles here: it works out noticeably cheaper than at the minimarts by the seafront.
