01What it is
Đại Lãnh appears in official lists in two roles at once: the provincial portal names it among Khánh Hòa's main beaches, and the provincial administration lists it among the province's bays alongside Vân Phong, Nha Trang and Cam Ranh. The national tourism portal recommends it to those ready to take a motorbike and ride north out of the city. It is a small seaside settlement by the highway and the railway, with fishing boats and a gently sloping sandy shore below the mountains.
02How to plan your visit
This is the farthest of the northern beaches, so it is combined with other stops on the way: the Hòn Khói salt fields, Dốc Lết, views over Vân Phong Bay. Leave early and allow a full day. A motorbike suits only experienced riders with a valid licence: part of the way runs along the busy QL1A highway with trucks. It is calmer to take a car with a driver and agree the stops in advance.
03What to check
We have not confirmed the exact distance and travel time from primary sources — plan the route in a navigation app on the day of the trip. Facilities are basic: roadside cafés, showers not everywhere. There may be no lifeguards, so don't swim far out and watch the waves.
Before you goDon't put Đại Lãnh and Dốc Lết on the day before an early flight: the drive wears you out more than the map suggests.
